ABSTRACT:
A simple, specific, accurate and precise high performance liquid chromatographic method was developed for the determination of Amlodipine in Amlodipine besylate tablet dosage forms. A Hypersil BDS C8 5µm (250x4.6mm I.D) with column temperature 25°C in isocratic mode, with mobile phase containing Acetonitrile: 10mM KH2PO4 buffer pH 3.0 (35:65) was used. The flow rate was 1.5mL/min and effluent was monitored at 237nm.The retention time of Amlodipine was 6.5min.The linearity for Amlodipine was in the range 0.02mg/mL to 0.12mg/mL.The proposed method is accurate, precise, specific and rapid estimation of Amlodipine in Amlodipine besilate tablets.
