ABSTRACT:
A simple, precise, accurate, rapid and reproducible RP-HPLC procedure was developed for simultaneous estimation of Telmisartan and Pioglitazone in pharmaceutical dosage form at a single wavelength. The mobile phase used was a combination of acetonitrile: 0.5% triethylamine (pH 4.5 with orthophosphoric acid) (65:35). The detection of the combined dosage form was carried out at 210 nm and flow rate set 1.3 ml/mins. Linearity obtained in the concentration range of 10 to 50 µg/ml for Telmisartan and 7.5 to 37.5 µg/ml for Pioglitazone with correlation coefficient of 0.9997 and 0.9995 respectively. The result of analysis were validated statistically recovery studies confirmed by the accuracy of the proposed method.
